Mesa Emergency Safety Actions (MESA)
“Mesa Emergency Safety Actions” (MESA) is program to train and prepare neighbors for disaster preparation. Knowing your immediate neighbors, what skills they possess, and what needs they may have readies you and those around you to react effectively in an emergency.
MESA grew from the Map Your Neighborhood program (MYN), and its implementation is just beginning. The Mesa has been divided into “pods” of about 20 houses, each with a captain or co-captains to facilitate the gathering and dissemination of information and the coordination of the pod’s activities during an emergency. Please help! Your participation is vital and may help save lives and property during a disaster.
